Course Description
The Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling mandates that every applicant for initial licensure complete 2 CE in Domestic Violence. For those professionals already licensed the Domestic Violence CE requirement must be met once every six years – every 3rd license cycle. In addition this course is designed to educate healthcare professionals on how to define domestic violence and identify those who are affected by domestic violence. This course describes how a victim can be screened and diagnosed. This course includes national and local community domestic violence resources. Finally participants will become familiar with Florida laws as it relates to “privilege” and obtaining injunctions.

Requirements
You will be expected to review all materials provided and pass the poset-test with a minimum of 70%, in order to receive your certificate of completion. You will also be required to complete a course evaluation. Once you have satisfactorily completed the post-test and submitted your evaluation, your certificate will be emailed to you.
